Toledano

Toledano is an immersive solo project by Moroccan-Canadian cellist/electronic composer Blanche Israël, known for her collaborations with Jeremy Dutcher (JUNO Award, NPR Tiny Desk Concert, Polaris Prize). Built from memory, voice, and rupture, it weaves Moroccan musical lineage with processed cello, voicenotes, and fragments of intimate recordings and ancestral archives. Toledano is about inheritance and interruption: what is carried, what is broken, and what is rebuilt in real time. Each performance is slightly different, shaped by collected sounds, looping structures, and the instability of memory itself.
