Workshop: Creating Interactive Multimedia Spaces
Virtual Space: Creating interactive multimedia spaces by Jeff Arbeau is a free workshop on designing, world-building, and creating your own interactive narratives and multimedia spaces. This workshop will demonstrate the processes used to create the virtual walking simulator DISC.OVER SAINT JOHN (https://discoversj.neocities.org/), and the site-specific installation & interactive alternate reality game (ARG) CORNELIA WEBSTER (https://corneliawebster.neocities.org/).
Participants will be introduced to the skills, strategies, and planning involved in building a virtual space, as well as an introduction to open-source tools for telling interactive, nonlinear stories. No design or coding experience required!
Drop-ins are welcome, but pre-registration is highly encouraged to secure your space.

The Dandy is partially accessible. Downstairs is fully accessible, however the upstairs at the venue is not (two flights of stairs). Screenings and Art Cave events will take place on the ground floor. Workshops will be taking place on the second floor, and is not an accessible venue.
