The Guide: a Handbook and Workshop for becoming a Dungeon Master is a workshop hosted by Emily Blair on being a Dungeon Master for Dungeons and Dragons. This will include a live discussion accompanied by The Guide. The Guide, written by Emily Blair, is meant to assist and encourage people to engage in a collaborative act of storytelling and playfulness that is unique to the world of roleplaying. The Guide contains the distilled knowledge of many DMs and players and their cumulative resources compiled into a book. It is a handbook for anyone wishing to become a Dungeon Master.

The purpose of this workshop and guide is to make the game of D&D more accessible and to ease prospective players and DMs into the many rules and resources required to run a successful game. An online PDF of The Guide will be provided to those attending the workshop free of charge. The structure of the workshop will involve an introduction to Dungeon Mastering followed by instructions on how to use The Guide, and will conclude with a Q&A. It will run for approximately 2 hours.

This workshop will take place digitally on Zoom, Thursday the 10th of June from 7pm-9pm ADT.
