She Said Feck Records is a management and record label established in 2018 located in Fredericton, NB. Focusing on service based contracts and representing 3 acts on a full time basis, southern blues quintet The Tortoise the Hare & the Millionaire, doom rock 3 piece HEAT $HEETS and pop punk quartet SOUND DROWN . Owner/Operator Kate Butler has a background in media studies/journalism (St. Thomas BA ‘06) and communications (Royal Roads MA ‘16). Butler recently completed an 8 week artist managers incubator program through CMI / Coalition Music. Over the past 7 years Butler has focused on music based projects including long standing contracts with The Capital Complex, Shivering Songs Festival, Peppers Pub, Tide and Boar Gastropub as well as offering album release support for NB based artists including The Hypochondriacs, Penny Blacks, and Janowskii. Over the past five years Butler has provided her knowledge as a workshop presenter for Fest Forward and Fredericton Girls + Rock Camp, Music PEI Juror ‘17 + ‘19, Harvest Jazz and Blues Stingray Rising Star judge ‘19, feature contributor to Grid City Magazine, and Music Supervisor for independent feature film Queen of the Andes ‘19. Butler prides herself on being a music fan first with roots in the all ages Saint John DIY punk scene growing up with the likes of Moneen, Choke, Sylvie, Layaway Plan, Chixdiggit, Cancer Bats and Alexisonfire.
