CUERPOS is a Newfoundland (Ktaqmkuk) based experimental music duo formed in 2019 by Francis Dawson and Nadia Duman. Created with the intention of celebrating their Latin roots and recontextualizing the sounds they grew up listening to, CUERPOS combines elements from Latin and Caribbean music–cumbia, dembow, reggae–with club-ready electronic beats and production. The result is a psychedelic dance party that is best enjoyed during their animated live sets.
