FLOURISH fest zine, print & art fair

the flourish fest zine, print & art fair is filled with fashion, zines, prints, paintings and much more!

This event takes place at the new brunswick library of craft and design (415 KING ST, ALSO ACCESSIBLE VIA QUEEN ST - RIGHT NEXT TO ENDEAVOURS!) on Saturday, April 27th from 12Pm-5pm. Admission is free, BUT BE SURE TO BRING SOME EXTRA CASH TO BUY SOME TERRIFIC ART!

THE FAIR WILL ALSO BE HOSTING A POP-UP LITERARY SHOW FEATURING FLOUR, PATRICK ALLABY & LAURA WATSON, and more with performance starting at 1:30pm and again at 3:30pm.
OTHER POP-UPS INCLUDE A FASHION SHOW WITH MARIAH SOCKABASIN, MUSIC BY DENMOTHER, STORYTELLNG BY ANONYMICE PUBLISHING AND MORE.

  • rachel thornton: Rachel M Thornton is an emerging artist and curator of settler origins currently residing on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Mi'kmaq and Wolastoqiyik Nations (Sackville, NB). Her fascination with understanding the cosmos has manifested itself as drawings, book works, performances and online projects.

  • Laura watson: LAURA WATSON IS A DRAWER, PRINTMAKER, EMBROIDERER AND WRITER FROM GEORGETOWN, ONTARIO.

  • patrick allaby: PATRICK ALLABY WAS BORN IN FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK, BUT IS BEST KNOWN FOR HAVING LIVED IN SACKVILLE, NEW BRUNSWICK, FROM 2011 TO 2017, WHERE HIS LOUSY POSTURE AND INCOHERENT RAMBLINGS MADE HIM EASILY RECOGNIZABLE AROUND TOWN. HE NOW LIVES IN KITCHENER, ONTARIO, AND IS WORKING ON AN MFA AT THE NEAR-BY UNIVERSITY OF WATERLOO

  • lydia porter: Lydia Porter is a visual artist, illustrator and designer who often explores themes of flora and fauna, mortality, and mythology. She also engages with dark iconographic subject matter and grounds herself in elements of realism.

  • jenn flewelling: Jenn Flewelling has been toiling away as a potter for the better part of a year and is looking forward to bringing you pots to spark joy.

  • not your boys club: not your boys club is an independent blog, radio show, safer spaces facilitation, and booking/promotion initiative working to make space and create a platform for emerging femme, trans, and gender non-conforming musicians in atlantic canada.

  • jeska grue: Jeska Grue is an independent, made-to-order fashion brand residing beside the Tantramar Marshes in Sackville, New Brunswick, Canada. Made from leftover fabric scraps, these scrunchies are guaranteed to brighten up your life while securing your hair.

  • mango + moose: Founded by Tanya and Scott Donahue, Mango + Moose is a socially conscious fashion and lifestyle brand, with the purpose of providing opportunities for communities, families, and individuals to thrive.

  • qwerty: Qwerty, the literary magazine published by the UNB English graduate department, launched its 38th issue, dubbed “the Queer Issue”, on Feb. 15 at the Capital Complex. 

  • anonymice publishing: Anonymice is an independent publisher with a mission to sharE stories that educate, enlighten and empower.

  • midas’ well creations: Midas’ Well Creations is an interdisciplinary artistic collaboration between Kennedy MacKeen and Ryan Hourihan, focusing on the sacred freedom of creative expression.

  • olivia thomson: Olivia Thomson is an artist from Fredericton whose work consist mainly of drawings, paintings, and stories of people who are just as confused about reasonable ways to convey their feelings as she is.  She is a first-year student at UNB taking an overly complicated combination of degrees.
