KRISTINA ROLANDER is an American installation artist, creating large-scale paintings and immersive environments, often collaborating with venues, musicians, and festivals on custom stage design for live performance. With diorama-inspired structures, hanging elements, and handpainted backdrops, she transforms ordinary space by uniting art, audience, and performer in a singular, transcendent experience. In 2017, Kristina was selected to participate as a visual artist in the third-annual Eaux Claires Music & Art Festival. Her large-scale, outdoor stage design “Neon Forest Galaxy” was shared with 25,000 festival attendees and became the visual accompaniment to performances by Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Aaron Dessner (The National), and Francis and the Lights. Other notable collaborations include immersive stage designs for UpHere Festival (Sudbury, Ontario), In The Soil Arts Festival (St. Catharines, Ontario) and custom backdrops for Little Scream, Shannon and the Clams, Ric Wilson, and poet Andrea Gibson.
